| I think that having public-sector unions lobby for the government of their choice is destructive of democracy. As I recently wrote, this practice creates a political machine that poses a nearly insuperable barrier to entry to anyone who disagrees with the bureaucracy. I also agree on pressing for vouchers, especially in the Abbott districts, as an alternative to top-down, corruption-prone state spending.
